Open call for autumn 2027 – early 2028
Artists’ Association Yö is seeking exhibitions and events for the Yö Galleria programme between September 2027 and February 2028.
We welcome applications for solo and group exhibitions, event programmes, curatorial projects and single events. The call is open to all art forms, such as visual, media, sound and word art. In the selections we prioritise diversity and the inclusion of various art forms and modes of expression.

Yö Galleria – a multidisciplinary art space in Vallila
Yö Galleria is an independent art space at Pälkäneentie 13 C in the Vallila district of Helsinki. Our new premises of about 200 m² can host varied and large-scale exhibitions as well as performing arts events.
The space has about 51 metres of wall space and a separate video room. It can be divided for different uses, so several smaller exhibitions can run at the same time. The gallery is on the second floor of the building and can be reached by stairs or by lift.
How to apply
Compile the following into a single (1) PDF file of up to 5 MB:
- an exhibition or event plan (maximum 1 page)
- your preferred dates, if you have any
- the planned duration of the exhibition or event
- any accompanying programme
- short introductions or CVs of the participants (for curatorial and other group projects, the CV of the person in charge is enough)
- images of artworks or other visuals that support your application.
Name the PDF file Firstname_Lastname_Nayttelyhakemus. Send it as an email attachment to producer@yory.fi by 7 December 2026, 11:59 pm (EET).
You are also welcome to propose new and experimental ways of using the space.
Practical information
Solo and group exhibitions run for three weeks by default, including installation and dismantling. You may also propose a shorter or longer exhibition period. Single events can last 1–7 days, including set-up and dismantling days.
The organiser of the exhibition or event is responsible for gallery supervision and sitting, installing and dismantling, as well as transporting the works and, if needed, insuring them. Yö Galleria does not charge exhibition rent or service fees. Yö ry takes a 20% commission on sales of artworks.
Selections are made by Yö ry’s exhibition working group, whose members change regularly. Results will be announced in January 2027.
60% of exhibition and event slots are reserved for Yö ry members who have paid their 2026 membership fee. For the remaining 40%, members and non-members are considered on equal terms. We accept member applications also during the open calls. Read more and become a member.
